So tried reading threads to fix problem, but seems different. I have replaced my battery in car(Red top), replaced batteries in FOB's. All fuses seem to be OK. Car starts perfect in morning or when first used. If I make several stops during the day, start to get clicking noise before it starts...
Also, make sure you keep some money around for regular repairs. I did my rotors, brakes and calipers, they was about to get Corsa Exhaust. Radiator went, so spent the money on that. I have 32k miles on car. Radiators are one of the items on 2005's that have problems. Then I just did rear...
I have a 2005 and have been updating over the years. The wheels you are looking for are from the XLR V. I have been looking for a set for over a year. Hard to find now. Carid.com and Big Daddy Caddy have the grill you are looking for.
I used Dr Color Chip to touch up paint for my 2005 Black XLR. It was for a very small area, but worked great and they got product out quickly.

Looked up the 2008 shocks and they are a different AC Delco part number, so think I got the right ones for 2004-5. I will research the info for the Bilsteins and simulators before doing anything, thanks
I haven't installed anything yet, and can return. The Part#s I purchased where AC-Delco 580-162 and 163 for rears and 580-161's for front. It's what I saw for 2005 base at GM Parts suppliers. If these are the 2008's and Bilsteins and simulators will work better, please let me know. Not to late...
So I finally added the rear sway bar to my car. Did the sway bar and the Goodridge braided brake lines this week. I got the full sway bar kit from Big Daddy Caddy on Ebay for $270 with shipping. I was having a tough time finding the bar anywhere at the parts dealers. Bad news was while putting...
So saw an ad that Weather Tech is making and selling Headlight Protection Film now. Looks like package comes with film for headlights and fog lights for $70.

I am looking for a set of XLR V rims. If anyone knows of a set or a very close reproduction, please let me know. I have a 2005 base XLR with stock wheels still.

Headlight coating from Carid
I got my headlight film from Carid. I put in on almost 2 years ago and it looks perfect. Covered the headlights and the fog lights. $55

Mine was on the radiator top drivers side corner and the welds had come apart. Knew I had to change mine. I am sure someone on here will give you suggestions. This site has made owning my XLR so much more enjoyable and saved me quite a bit of money on repairs also. Good luck.
And PS, once I...
Hi,
Do you still have these available? I live in Jupiter, FL, but I am in New Port Richey often and can pick up the tires. If you want to get rid of them right away, I can have one of my brother in laws pick them up with the cash. They both live in Tampa.
Thanks,
Robert
So the leak is just where you said it would be, on left drivers side radiator. So since the labor was expensive and involved to replace the radiator, had the thermostat and water pump done also. $1700 estimate including charging the AC. Car should be ready tomorrow so hopefully it stays at that...
Thanks for the replies. I am going to auto parts store now to get a DexCool and refill radiator. I will let you know how much it takes. I have appt to drop at dealer on Friday and did read all the other posts about 05 radiators having problems.
So the last 3-4 weeks, my 2005 XLR(32K miles) has been leaking radiator fluid from the reservoir connection to the radiator, I think. It never leaked more then 1/4 to 1/2 a gallon when i drove, and it seemed only the reservoir was loosing fluid. I was going to bring to Cadillac next week, its...
I just had new brakes done for my car. Rotors, pads and new calipers. My lock nut key broke on the first lock, so they had to use a socket. He just hammered the socket on and I had to buy a new lug nut set and locks.
