What is meant by the "Important" statement "Make sure that ...................... and that the pump is not in the ON position" ? What is meant by pump being in the ON position. I am not aware of any way to turn off or on the "pump". Whatever that is. Thanks Cad Rusty 06 V

I think the most critical work needs to be done to the console, to adapt the 6 speed shift pattern seamlessly as well as hide the new bell housing. Also, to my knowledge there has never been a factory clutch driven Northstar motor, thus at least the flywheel would need to be drilled and tapped...

From what I was told by the sales person at Mallett cars they did one in 2007 for Jim Taylor, the then CEO of Cadillac. The cost is 15K quoteded to me, and the finished product is factory quality.

Has anyone come across an XLR (V) modified by Mallett Cars in NC with an manual 6 speed Trans??? This is an option I would aggressively pursue, could it be done to "factory" qualiy. Warrantee, non withstanding. Rusty

Which run flats to buy I was under the impression that on the 19" V tires, at least, the michelin run flats required "special" tire change equipment to change the tire, and that equipment is not available at all repair/tire change locations. Something about double compartments. Any comments...

Finally after at least 1000 tries in every conceivable mode, I got it to work. If I hit the screen button within 500 miliseconds after the on/off button, the display for screen control will appear ! Doubt if it is supposed to work that way, but on my car, it does. thanks all Rusty
