I had a small coolant leak under the Radiator on the driver's side but it took some effort to locate the source. See image below. You can see the drops of coolant on the bottom of the Radiator Support Bracket/Skid Bar.
I was unable to locate any leaks at the hose connections on the Radiator...
So I opened my trunk over the weekend and after it reached the full open point it SLOWLY started to close without pressing the close button or the button on the remote. It was a very slow and gentle drop until it got a few inches from full closed and the it dropped rapidly and closed and...
I just finished refurbishing my headlights. Tom at WinnipegHID.ca replaced the Turn Signal lenses with new lenses. Replaced all the incandescent bulbs with LEDs. Provided Load Resistors and wiring. I mounted the Load Resistors on the bumper bar under the Headlights. Tom did some polishing of the...

I just replaced my Skid Bar. One of the mounting flanges snapped off. I'm sure it happened before I bought the car but I just noticed it recently.
I bought a multi-piece after market part for a little over $100...
Passenger Headlight in very good condition. Turn signal lens is "crazed". Main lens is excellent except for small chip at lower in-board corner. The chip does not compromise the integrity of the seal between lens and housing. There is a crack on the housing from the Turn Signal Socket opening to...

Just wanted to give forum member JustDennis a BIG THANK YOU for going out of his way to help me get my car running. He's stopped by my place several times to advise, tinker, WORK, & scan the various systems with his Tech2 device. He's been a BIG help. Can't thank him enough.

For some reason my Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) output is driving the power to the Fuel Pump Electric Motor into an "off" or disabled state. Does anyone know if the ECM can command the FPCM to place the Fuel Pump in an "off" state? My budget service manual doesn't cover the Fuel Pump System...
I need to replace the Fuel Pump in my '05 XLR. For various reasons I'd like to "upgrade" it to the '06 - '09 Fuel Pump. The '03 - '05 Fuel Pumps are operated at multi-speeds through a modulator (FPCM). The '06 - '09 Fuel Pumps are operated at a single speed through a relay connected directly to...
So I had to replace the Water Pump on my car and I got a shock when I discovered that the housing mounting bolts are high carbon steel. After 20 years I would have expected steel bolts to have fused solid to the aluminum engine parts but not so. The bolts can't be bare steel or they would have...
I'm facing a fuel pump replacement & I'm psyched out by the coupler between the "crossover tube" & the fuel reservoir. Has anyone completely removed the crossover pipe completely from the car? Is this possible without lowering the trans? Will the pipe & the internal tubes bend enough to slide...
So this morning I was diddling under the hood while waiting for my laptop to boot so I could connect my old OBD II tools to the car. Anyway ... I removed the cap over the schrader valve on the fuel rail and some fuel shot out. The car wasn't running. I've never seen this before. I had hooked up...
Does anyone have any experience with the OBDLink LX tool from ScanTool.net? I have their old ElmScan 5 tool and I really like it. It has a few shortcomings but overall it's a good tool at a reasonable price. If no OBDLink users do you have any recommendations for budget scan tools for personal...
