Cruise Control Happened on my 2005 and the repair was a new brake cable. It had streched over time and the cruise control was assuming the brake had been applied and would not set. Hope this will help.

RubberTrunk Bumpers The rubber conical head does not go thru the square hole. It rest firmly against that when the trunk is closed. Use search to see previous responses on how to adjust the fit.

All I have is the invoice for "sensor kit" with part number 89047699.

My 2005 XLR had a similar problem and the dealer discovered a bad sensor (part no. 890476990). Part was $27.00 and labor $99.00. Took care of the problem, but i didn"t have a service message.

I don't know. My new lamp from GM OEM had the emblem attached from the manufacturer.

Third Brake Lamp Wanted I ordered from GM OEM and received the lamp that I wanted at a very reasonable price and received it in 8 days. Installed and working great. Thanks for the info and leads by all. Hopefully this thread is closed.

Cadillac XLR high mount lamp Thanks for the input. My LEDS work fine, but the lens has 3 or 4 small cracks that I have epoxied. So I'm checking on line for a complete replacement including salvage yards. Didn't realize the parts problem when I bought the car.

I have a 2005 XLR and need the 3rd brake lamp that is in good condition without cracks in the lens. Oh! and the LEDS should be in working order. Thanks for any assistance.
