    2006 XLR Electrical Problem

Solved. Car has coil overs and F55 suspension deletion sensors from Casper Electronics. One of the pentometer sensors was burnt to a crisp. Replaced sensor and car is behaving normally. This sensor must have somehow been taking down the entire low side bus.

    2006 XLR Electrical Problem

Update: Problem is becoming more frequent. Here’s what I have done so far to try to resolve it: Reflashed ECM to stock 06 XLR program. Removed radio fuse to disable radio. Replaced battery in FOB. Deleted all FOB’s and reprogrammed. Changed battery. Problem is still occurring. When it...

    2006 XLR Electrical Problem

Fire, I don't think its ever been changed, can this cause this particular problem? I'm certainly leaning toward a ACC/remote/Ignition switch issue rather than a battery issue considering the car cranks so easily and battery has tested good. All the doors work and the fob locks and unlocks...

    2006 XLR Electrical Problem

Rex, Zen, Appreciate the suggestion. Battery is new and seems to be in good working order, as the car cranks 100% and the battery tests at 12 volts. I did check the grounds in the engine bay and everything seems fine. Could this be a bad ignition switch forcing it into off mode?

    2006 XLR Electrical Problem

2006 XLR-V Strangest occurrence, definitely need some help with this one. When driving, randomly, on average once every 30 minutes, the radio will shut off to a black screen, the gas, oil, temp, and voltage gauges will go to zero, the windows won’t roll down and the doors won’t open. This...

    Looking for Tweeter Wiring Diagram

I bought and was going to use two sets of alpine SPR-10TW's, however they sound worse than the bose 1.75 inch speakers that are factory. They are supposed to be 150 RMS but they distort even with the crossovers way before the factory bose speakers do. Very strange. I wonder if the Bose's have a...

    Looking for Tweeter Wiring Diagram

Hi guys, I'm trying to install new tweeters in the top of the seats in the factory locations, and instead of pulling new wire and removing the seat id Like to use the factory wires. My bose amp was removed along time ago, but I am assuming that the tweeter wires still ran to the bose amp...

Where the heck is the factory bose amp?

Found "it" or where it used to be anyway, thank you. Kevin

Where the heck is the factory bose amp?

Trying to trace some wires in my XLR to reuse the seat tweeter wires. (hoping to avoid pulling the seat to add new wires). I'm sure the wires run to the old factory bose amp, where the heck is it located? Parts diagrams are of zero help. Appreciate any help! Kevin

How does the front bumper attach?

Hi Gang, I'm doing body work/wreck repair on the xlr-v and am concerned about the attachment points for the front bumper cover. So far I have the cover fitting into the fender slits on each side, then the bumper cover weight rests on top of the actually bumper absorber. The only other...

Headlight not working after bulb change

As title states, passenger headlight went out on 06 XLR-V. DLR and signals still worked. Went to change the bulb and the old one came out looking in like new condition, changed anyway, still no headlight. Swapped headlight sides to test wiring, passenger unit did not work hooked to drivers side...

    Speaker Sizes and Locations

Well, I'm looking to replace the stock speakers and bose amp system. It seems that the doors aree clearly 10 inch bose speakers so 6x9's might be the best option there. Are we really stuck with 3.5 inch speakers in the dash? We cant fit a 4 in there? or maybe even a 5 if we do some...

    Speaker Sizes and Locations

Hi all, Working on an aftermarket stereo setup and trying to figure out where and how large the stock bose speakers are that are being replaced. I know there are two 8 inch subs in the doors that act as the rear channel if I am not mistaken, and tweeters in the seats. There is a center channel...
