Hi John. Yes, I had one and really liked the car but I let all the naysayers scare me off with stories of maintenance costs!
Never have gotten the car out of my system and have run across a really clean 06 base with 60K miles and priced right i think. Just looking for some inspiration from you...
HA - - thanks Rexster - - you brought back memories of why I sold mine earlier. Now looking to maybe get back in the game. Hoping somebody will convince me I'm not insane!!!
Looking to return to the XLR fold again after several years. Considering a 2007 base with 60,000 miles. What major issues should I be concerned with? Don't want to get back into a money pit but sure do love these cars. Headlights look really good, so other than breaking and requiring...
Go onto ebay. Do a search for Cadillac XLR. Scroll down and on the left side of the screen you'll see a box for "sold listings". This will give you some idea of what to expect to pay. Be sure you inspect closely before you buy. These cars can be quite pricey to maintain, if you can get...
I was really surprised too. I had an 04 Coupe and that car rode/drove as good as the XLR - very little road noise. But this Corvette, a 2015 coupe with 1800 miles on it, was awful!! I have since been on line and found that I am not the only person with this complaint. Found that many owners...
QUOTE=ccclarke;68046]But the C7 exterior is pretty cool looking. I have to agree on the interior; GM knows how to build interiors, so it's a shame they don't bring their best to the corvettes, which is their flagship sports car. My XTS never fails to get compliments on the interior whenever...
Thanks CC. Will see what they have to offer. Man, they have so many variables in corvettes now, it's hard to know what I want. PRICE will have a lot to do with end result!
Thank you liz. I appreciate the offer. First thing I see with the new vettes. GM learned nothing about cheap looking interiors from the xlrs. The new vettes leave a lot to be desired also!:(
I am with you Liz. Sold mine this week. Having some sellers remorse but parts availability really concerns me. takes away from the fun of really driving the car.
Corvette shopping as we speak!
Thanks Zen! I tried to follow your lead with the posts! May wind up back on here. already having a little sellers remorse. drove down to Orlando today, about 450 ride, and saw a red xlr. first one I've seen on the road! thats the reason I bought in the first place - rarity. just crappy it...
SOLD, SOLD, SOLD
Well, I found a buyer for my car and a deal was made yesterday. Now the search begins for a replacement.:dunno:
REALLY want to thank all of you, especially CC, for all the helpful information provided to members here.:thumbsup
You're all a great bunch of guys. Going to...
Why not attend the Caffeine and Exotic car show on Sunday the 21st WITH a for sale sign. Mike the owner of the 09 V sold his XLR as well over the winter. If you need a pass, just give me a call. Need to see your improvements in person.
Sorry Al, going to Orlando for a funeral this Saturday...
Hawkeye, I'd feel very safe in saying there are some excellent upholstery shops in the Daytona area that could easily handle this job. Just ask a few of the guys in your local car club or at any of the car shows you go to there.
