I have a xlr v in the shop that needed a new pig tail to replace the damaged one. The Throttle Actuator Control has a 6 pin connection labled 1 thru 6. I purchased a new harness but all the wires are white. I need to know what color goes to what number. The dealer couldn't help me . Please let me know.

I think maybe it was the dealer wouldn't help.

Hope this helps.

I loaded the 4.6L at first then realized my mistake and changed the pic for one for the 4.4L. The one with pin numbers is 4.4L v. the one with pin letters for the 4.6L

Phrede would you double check your colors, please. We seem to have a conflict and I did just check mine again. This is a disaster waiting to happen. How is this possible!!
I walked out to the car to look and the connector is not readily visible.

Mine is a screenshot taken from the service manual for an '07. Not sure where the difference came from. Never found any errors with the schematics. Not sure what to say. Could there have been a change from '06 to '07??

I think I found the reason for the disparity. Here is what I have for a '05 with a 4.6L. It looks like the wire colors changed from '05 to '06.

I'm going to try and include a picture actually a scan from my factory service manual. This is from a 2006 4.4 page. I'll look in my 2009 set and assume nothing has changed.

Update: Page from 2009 is different. When the change could have been made, I'm not sure but 2 of the wires are in a different location different from a 2006 to a 2009. I'll scan the 2009 page and include it here. My recommendation, find a 2007 factory service manual. NOTICE PINS 3 AND 5 ARE DIFFERENT

Sorry if this adds to the confusion, but you might be able to determine where the GY and TN wires were on your old connector.

Another source from my 2008 service manual.

If in doubt and you do not have the original connector (or a picture) the wires could be rung back to the ECM connector.

The good news is that the difference is the polarity on the position sensor, not mixing the motor and feedback circuits, so the likelihood of damaging anything by using the wrong diagram, of these two, is very low. It just wouldn't work correctly. BTW, my first post was from a 2007 service manual.

FWIW, most other changes happened in the 2006 or 2009 model. There were some in the other years, but these were the major ones.
