2008 xlr key fob alternatives

Got my 2008 with only one key fob, the original fob it came with. I’d rather get a CTS key fob than pay $200+ for a spare key… so does anyone happen to know what year CTS key fobs will work on our cars? I’ve seen it done before, just not sure which years work.

You'll have to take it somewhere to have it paired with your car. You can't do it with just one key you have. Know someone with a Tech II?
