Was wondering if anyone has encountered this, and if an alignment usually solves the issue.
Due to what I believe to be the magnasteer which increases the pressure to steer the wheel straight I have a slight amount pressure (annoying) to keep the car going straight especially at speed. I never really noticed it until I had new tires installed as the tires were worn and required a lot of attention before anyway as the car would follow the indents in the road. If I put the steering wheel perfectly straight the car goes to the right pretty good. Is this adjusted in the alignment or is there something also that will have to be done at the steering wheel level.
Also does the car have special alignment needs?

Thanks
J

I believe a good alignment will take care of your problem... and no, there are no special alignment needs for the XLR.

A properly done alignment includes making sure the steering wheel is not off-center, and includes a printout of all the alignment values before and after. Of course it would not hurt to make sure the shop knows all your concerns before they start.

I suggest contacting your nearest Corvette club to find out if there is a place many of their members prefer to go to for alignments.
