06 xlrv i have owned 5 years dont know if previous owner ever changed coolant. should I drain and refill or take it to a shop that does cooling system flushes?

It depends whst does it look like. If it apoears clean and radiator and resovoir are not merky looking just change it. A flush does not usually hurt so its a toss up if the system is clean. Make sure you get an actually flush if you go that way.some shops use a cleaner to flush thst needs to be 100% removed or if left in engine can cause damage. Main concern is not useing tap water to mix with coolant

In reading the manual it looks like the charge air cooling system for the supercharger is a separate system? I guess I should drain and refill that also

Yes. Also make sure the pump runs . ive seen a lot of v that the pumps are froze up and dont even work. There is also a special coolant for superchargers ive seen . i would certainly look into that on some of the hellcat forums.

I've replaced my coolant 3 times in the last year. Not because I wanted to. I used the Harbor Freight Vacuum Fill tool. It does a quick vacuum test of the entire cooling system before you fill and then filling is super easy. No need to worry about burping the cooling system. It's a LITTLE pricey but I've used it on 2 of my cars so far. I suspect I'll use it on all of them now since all of the modern cooling systems require "burping" after filling.
