Courtesy Lights

Where on the doors is the switch that turns the courtesy lights on and off? Also- the button on the r/side instrument panel that is supposed to turn them off does not work; is the switch bad or is something else wrong??{The light button on the r/side of instruments only shuts the floor lights off. Is this the way it is supposed to work?}
