2004 xlr
I trying to get the 04 xlr back on the road. So i purchase the susp.module and TCM module took it to cadillac and told me the pump is bad so they cant finish the convertible part....they want 1900$ for the pump +labor n i have to buy it from them if not they wont install it.

So since they told me they only installed the suspension module ,i belive it will fix the ABS and the T/C light but i DIDNT, and the car still drives very rough on d ground like no shocks (i have 20"wheels on it ) after 30mph it feels the engine forcing itself to go higher ,however the "do not exeed 80mph still on dash"

so i talk to the mechanic and he mention the EBCM it could be bad ..he's not sure.. and that takes away the abs and the t/c

What is the EBCM its it a part i can replace myself ..???
Is it driving rough becauseof that???
Can i purchase the convertible pump and change it myself???

This website is my last hope since dealer dont seem to help that much, by just making me buy parts from them only

Thank u

Really sorry to hear your problems. Has the car ever been right since owning? The bcm is the body control module. Its possible for that to b your problem. Yes you can buy a new pump I remember reading of a member here having the pump checked and rebuilt can't remember where. Have you tried applying power to the pump directly? If your mechanical I would say its possible. By the placement of the pump looks like your gonna need some special tools "NOT Johnny home owner craftsman tool box". Like offset wrenches for all those hydro lines. Their was a first time for xlr tech too. Good luck!
