so I have the usual top issue with a switch that cannot be located. the roof limiter switch they say. anyway has anyone figured out a way to modify or rig something to make it work or am I stuck with a nice hardtop?

I have a 05 XLR with 22k. Car has always been garaged. Top not secure light is on trunk will not open at all. Bought tech 2 and there are no codes. I am new to this car and I think maybe I need to relearn too. Does anyone know exact instructions play by play to get this working.
