As noted on here, there aren't any nav updates for our XLR's. I bought an '08 STS new that had nav & owned it for 5 1/2 years and NEVER was even offered a nav update (or at least that I remember - so if I did get an offer it was early in ownership).
I've a 2013 CTS coupe for 8 mos & today got an offer from Cadillac that a nav update was available for $200 but they had a special deal for $160. Seriously?
You would think I could maybe get a free update for the first year, or maybe the first update would be free for whenever it came out.
I'm going to pass on this since the coupe is my commuter car & isn't taken on trips so I don't really need nav anyway. Plus I learned from the STS that locally, 5+ year old nav is good enough. Finally we own a Garmin & there's plenty of free stuff available on my phone. But it fries me a bit that I'm already being asked to shell out $160 for this.
Just think what they could charge if they did make updates available for us!
