I was having problems with my 04 XLR not starting it would set the message press brake to start. It also would give a message service stabilitrak/traction control light coming on. Also my brake lights would stay on when driving and go out when you would put your foot on the brakes.
Since my local Caddy dealer is not that great and the next dealer is 40 miles away. I took it into my Chevrolet dealer since they do a lot of Corvettes. They put their top Corvette tech on my car and found two problems. The brake pedal position sensor switch was bad and they replaced that. As for the stabilitrak that was another story. They found that the body control module was causing the problem and replaced it. So far no lights or messages so I hope it is fixed.
