I have a 2004 xlr thats giving me a no fob detected message. Replacing battery in fob did not work. Tried other fob still no go. Decide to reprogram fobs. With fobs in car and one in the slot in glove box, when i initiate system by turning key 5 times and push the stop button . I get a brief message of “no fob detected” then the ten minute countdown starts. I got this the second and third time and fobs did not work. I assume that the system is still not detecting any fobs. Also the car would not start even with fob in slot in glove box. I have heard that the rcdlm could be bad and finding replacements is hard. Along the same lines, are there wiring diagrams available . Theory of operation on how the fob, rcdlm and ecm work to allow car to start, doors open etc. Is it possible to produce and provide an external signal or signals to satisfy system to allow car to start and doors open etc? HELP !! I look at it like this I would rather have a car that some one could possible get in push the button and drive away than a cool looking car sitting in my driveway that i cant drive!🤷🏿🤷🏿
