Drivers door pad wont open door?

Does the outside handle release the door ok? how about the emergency lever on the floor? If both of those work then it sounds like you may have a bad release button. My wife's CTS coupe had the same issue and we had to replace the button in the door. Dealer only part unfortunately.

people clean them by taking them apart but new oem ones are on ebay for 15$ each. buy a couple and keep them . You will need them one day

I had a bad door release actuator and had to have it replaced this fall. Originally thought it was the pad. Parts were available, cost about $300 to replace.

You know there's only a couple of screws to remove, pull the pad out, unplug and plug up a new one?

that will work. If one side only does not work it is the touch pad. If none of the locks work it could be a fuse. If the opener on the inside opens the door then its the touchpad. If the opener inside and outside on the same door do not work, it could be the internal latch
