Hi folks,

I tried to open the passenger door today on my 2004 XLR and it was stuck.

Stuck?

Yup, the passenger window was up (indexing OK) but the rear quarter glass was closed OVER it to the outside instead of on the inside. Cycled the roof a couple of times but it continued to close over the window.

Hmmm. Ideas anyone?

Thanx.

Never experienced this issue, maybe someone will chime in with a possible answer. Evidently something caused the window to get out of alignment.

This morning, I half opened the roof, and had someone help guide the errant passenger side quarter glass into its proper place behind the passenger side glass. Problem solved. Still, that's not a permanent solution but, but hey, at least it can be manipulated by hand to close ok. And the world keeps turning...

I had the same problem on my 2006 a couple of years ago. James the XLR certified tech at Red Noland Cadillac in Colorado Springs did an adjustment and have never had the problem since.

This last summer I had a similar issue only mine was on the driver's side. It was easy for me to guide the window into place on top-up until I had problems with the top completing its up cycle. Changing out one of the sensors that says the top is up and in position fixed the problem, and they adjusted the window at the same time. Both problems solved.
