Performance Chip

Performance chip

I bought the chip, installed the chip, put the chip in a box with the other junk I have collected over the years, suckered again.

Save your money.

I think you need to go back and read the thread first someone asked if the power increase would put to much stress on the drivetrain. NO

Eslic1 said that he purchased one ALREADY but hasn't installed because of the luring question of does it work? I along with other simply stated if you want proven results you would have to do dyno runs before and after.
Simply saying if you took the time and ordered it you must be curious," why not plug it in to see if it works"?
Now if someone is willing to pay three hundred bucks for some dyno runs for a part that cost 75 bucks with a "maybe" the chance of a increase:dunno:

That's exactly what we wanna hear. Thank you someone tried it and it didn't work. That solves that questions.

Read the the first post.....

I've been keeping my eye open for a loaded ctsV 4dr has to be the right color, mileage, and flawless! Got another year till it's possible:willy_nilly:

CTS-V is a completely awesome car, really wanted one for a daily driver but it was too impractical. The gas tanker to follow you is a really expensive option! :chuckle Also it would be a shame to waste 550+ ponies sitting in my local traffic jams. Love to drive them though!

I owned the first generation CTS V and that car was a blast to drive. I dusted a Vet off the line at a stop light and when we arrived at the next light, the guy said, "what is that," I told him, he then said, "that's a sleeper". The first time I heard that description but to my surprise, it wasn't the last time. :laugh:The best of all was having a child's seat in the back strapped in, which generated a few comments. :chuckle Although the child seat generated the same comments in my Shelby GT500. :dunno:

OK, so I found transmission information for the differences. (It is gear ratios, but could also be torque and HP differences.)

Also read that the 6L80 is 100% computer controlled, if that makes difference.

It turned cold here last week, into the low 20's. I was leaving work to go to my dealer to have my radio checked out. I didn't have any sound from anything, the reverse sensors, the nav system or voice command feedback.

I work the grave shift and it was 20's all night. As I was leaving the parking lot the tranny upshifted and with a heck of a joilt, like it slammed into gear. Downshifts were even harder.

The dealer ran the codes and asked me if my battery went dead because the DIC also reported stability track service and traction control service.

The shifting problems was because the tranny's computer lost communication with the network and the ecu so it went crazy providing more hydrolic pressure than needed, even if I shifted manually, the same results. So the 5 trannys in the 04 and 05's ARE computer controlled to a point.
