Power Roof / Trunk Issues

Hi!
I'm a new member and I already have a question. I have a 2005 XLR with only 27,000 miles. Both the trunk and power roof work intermittently. There are times that the trunk or the power roof will not work at all. There are times when the roof or the trunk will get stuck and stop. I once had to leave my trunk open for a few hours because it would not close after I pushed the button. I came back latter in the day, pushed the button on the inside of the trunk and it closed. There are times that I can "coax" the power roof to complete the cycle by moving the power top switch back and forth when it gets "stuck" and stops. It's really getting frustrating. What do I need to do?? Do I need to replace the power motors?? Any info would be appreciated.

I had a friend of mine with basically the same symptoms you have. I ran a diagnostic check with my tech 2. We had a code that trunk latch was in error. After checking it out and finding latch was ok we ran a relearn on the top and everything was working great. I think a relearn would cure your problem.
