Short Jaunt Yesterday

Asked my wife last week if she wanted to go do a little gambling last week, she's always ready to go anyway.
Normally we do our road trips in our Expedtion KR, but the A/C went out and not able to get it looked at till next week, so we took the XLR. It's about 225 miles to the casino. This was the first time for a trip of longer than an hour and a half. Made it in good time over and back. Thank God for the EZ Tag for toll roads. Got back this afternoon and got 26.3 mpg by the car computer, 26.1 by paper. This was done on 75 mph roads some of the way, with lows of 45 going through the speed traps in LA.
Not bad for a 10 year old car any day of the week. Got LOTS of stares going down the freeway, some even second looks just to make sure what they were seeing.
And if anyone is wondering, we came back home with more money than we left with.
