Steering wheel

My 2005 XLR has the Eucalyptus wood trim interior and some time in its life the steering wheel was changed as it has a darker rose wood look. I am looking for the correct wood color with cashmere leather and while looking on eBay I found a new 2008 wheel in correct colors. However I do see it has different switches and is heated. Could this 2008 wheel work on a 2005 and is the option available to connect the heated wheel?
