Steering will not move

I have had times when the steering wheel will not move on exit or move to the preset when I start the car. Its never not moved but, I have to move it in and out or up and down before it will go to the position I want. Some times it will take 5 minutes or so before I have control of it. It will do some strange things to the nav screen if I have out too far. Anyone had any fun like this? Never had any problems with my `63 coupe`s steering wheel. Thanks.

Sounds like your motor needs to be replaced. What year is you XLR?

There is a service bulletin NHTSA 10014887 but when I try to pull that number up, I don`t get the bulletin.
