Top will not go down

2005 XLR The top will not go down. I took the car to a chevy dealership where I work . They put the car on a tech 2. The only thing that popped up that might be related, It said the trunk was no shut properly. The trunk seem to be shut good, anyone know where the trunk sensor is located Thanks in advance for help

Have you had any trouble with the top cycling before this incident ? I once had this happen with a friend of mine top and all it took to fix it was a top relearn with a tech 2.

It's possible your Chevy dealer didn't know about the top relearn. I'd see if they did it, if not doing a relearn will usually fix it.

The latch mechanism should report when the deck lid is secured.
