I recently replaced the Gas Struts on my XLR Trunk Lid and also a Rear Bumper. Previously LId would creep closed.
Klaus at Top Hydraulics recommended the fix. Not a nice job.
Now, with no Key Fobs nearby the Trunk will open with no Owner action.
It will also open sometimes when a door is opened.
I have backed off the Rubber Snubbers 5 turns (3/16") so there is no undue pressure on the lid
WTF?
Any helpful advice is appreciated.

Not sure whst you mean. The gas struts that hold it up are fairly easy to install theres instructions on here how to do it. Do you mean a rear bumper cover was replaced? You could have an issue with the key in the bumper may be under bind causing the trunk to open. The emergency latch in the trunk may not be located properly. It should be mounted in the rear trim panel. The underside button in the carpet that shuts the trunk may be out of place. The soft touch button above the tag may be bad. the button on the dash could be bad or you could have a stuck button on a fob. Id open the trunk and manually push down on the latch. See that it releases with the inside emergency release. Latch it again fully and just observe if it releases by itself. Thats a start
