My trunk will not open when the outside temperature is over 90 degrees. I just replace the cylinders but it did not fix the problem. Any suggestions?

Can you be a little more specific on what it does and what your doing? The more you can tell us the better we can help.

The hydraulic motor runs but the trunk does not lift. Then it times out and re-locks. Seem like the pump should be replaced or is low on hydraulic fluid.

The Folding Top Hydraulic Pump has a thermistor that will shut it down if the pump overheats. It is supposed to give you a message indicating such on the DIC as well.

I suggest you take it in and have a certified Cadillac XLR tech run a quick diagnostic scan with their Tech 2(<10 minutes of labor.) They can quickly pinpoint the cause of the trouble, and rapidly get the system in working order.
