When I start my 04 XLR I see a round gear with a + sign in the middle of it. Anyone know what this warning symbol is?:dunno:

I wish I could help you - I remember seeing that somewhere before, but checked the XLR manual & manual for another Caddy & didn't find it.

It may have been what came up on an '04 CTS I had when you put it in sport mode. But that didn't have driver shift control like the XLR's, so that doesn't make sense for you. :dunno:

I do not know. I do not recall seeing that. If you have On Star you might give them a call. They have a technical department. Those individuals might know.

Or maybe William R will come on and perhaps he can help.

The service manual indicates either the transmission fluid has less than 10% life or the trans fluid has reached greater than 266 degrees F.

I noticed that on my 06 also. Almost looks like the old Duracell battery commercial. It's on the dash screen
