Someone a short time ago wrote asking if we saw other XLRs in our travels. Since acquiring my 2009 Platinum in July, I have not. Until yesterday. It was a nice fall day here on Long Island, NY so we decided to head out east to the north fork wine country to sample some of the local harvest When we came upon an XLR on the side of the road with a for sale sign in the window. I stopped and took the attached photos with my cell phone. The car is a 2004 version with 51K miles and looks clean.

This was my first XLR sighting which surprises me because this is not a desolate area.

If any one is interested contact the owner at the phone number in the photos. I only know about what I could see and can not vouch for the car.

Looks very clean, what town on the North Fork. I use to live on Long Island in Smith Point on the South Shore, but I know the North Shore very well also.

Thee car was in Riverhead on Route 58 just before the begining (end) of the LIE.

That's just what we did. I live in East Northport. We put the top down a cruised out east, had a glass of wine at Martha clara's, and came home. A nice Sunday Afternoon. It got a little cool on the way back so we put the top up.

Westbound Gold XLR

On 10/27, I spotted the first gold colored XLR I've ever seen. It had TX plates, and was pulling out from Pueblo West, CO on to Hwy. 50 and heading west. When I spotted it, I was already in the turn lane to go east, and any abrupt move to try to catch up would have caused a real mess, so I could only watch it accelerate briskly and head for the mountains. :)

That light gold color is quite attractive. Anyone on the forum sneaking into CO w/o telling me???
