Paint Finish on XLR's

I have a question. I have a 2007 XLR Inferred color. The paint on this car is unbelievably shinny. I purchased this car with 16,000 miles on it from the original owner. I never waxed it and bring it to the car wash, however the luster continues to be excellent.. Do these cars have a special paint or does GM offer, at the time of purchase, a treatment to enhance and preserve the finish.

Clear coat on top of paint...... Use some Adams' detailer products and it will "pop" even further out!

Thanks for the reply. I've had other cars (Cadillac CTS) with clear coat, but didn't shine like this one.
I was thinking maybe the previous owner did something special to the finish.

Ill look into the Adams detail products.
