Help! Trunk lid hard to open & top works intermintelly

Hi, takes 3 tries to open trunk lid! It goes up maybe 2" for 5 seconds, then 3 tries later it completely opens. Also sometimes the top stops 1/2 way up. Then 3 tries later it works. Got it checked on a Tech 11, shows a senser in the rear trunk assembly code B1297.
Can anybody give me a part number & where to get it? Also need how to install. Many thanks Steve

Found your thread between Remi & yourself. Very helpful!! Looks like we have similar problems. He got his fixed with a new GM senser #19210515. GM has them available in Canada for about $150. Does all,this make sense to you? Many thanks CC, from what I read you have helped many XLR owners over the years!!
