Use dot 4 if you are in the habit of getting your brakes hot - it has a higher boiling point. When I flush I always replace with dot 4.

It isn't an LSA engine. We have 4.4l supercharged Northstar. They don't respond well to hammering the throttle which is what the bulletin is about.

My friend a GM mechanic and former race crew told me years ago the best way to get max performance from this engine is never hammer the throttle squeeze it and it has worked for me.

That won't work on Canadian Cars - Canadian laws prohibit the ability to turn off DRL. The knob will turn but nothing happens. You can identify Canadian cars by the speedometer it goes to 260! This override will also apply to US XLRs that were correctly imported into Canada which had the BCM...

I don't know of anyone who has fixed this. I have had 3 xlr's and all the same. Very annoying with a helmet on - you can't move your head forward!

I carry a tire plug kit and a small compressor and fix a flat can of sealant. Many new cars don't have spare tires or runflats and this is what some new car manufacturers supply only. Will work for a puncture but not any good if you have a blowout which is the same problem anyway if you rely on...

I got one for my Vette 3 weeks ago but nothing on the XLR. Canada is often behind the US in everything from GM.

The Northstar engine makes it even more unique. Not just another single cam pushrod V8 and XLR-V's are supercharged to boot!
