I don't know much about ABS but if you know anyone with a Tech2, that could shed some light on the problem. Other then that I would make sure your battery is fully charged and check all your electrical connections and remove and reinstall all the fuses associated with the brake system. Good luck
Is it overheating, what is the temp reading on the gauge, maybe it's not hot enough to need the fan. If you turn on the AC does the fan come on, that will usually cause the fan to come on or increase speed. I had that problem once and it was a loose connection at the fan, easy fix.
If you're thinking of buying I would verify the cars vin number. The driver power seat control cover is also the wrong color, but that could have been replaced due to breakage. Looks like a nice car.
I wasn't sure if Top Hydraulics just repaired pieces and parts or if they did the installs as well. If they do they may have seen this problem before.
Good luck on the interior, are you replacing it or dying the old?
Here's a thought, contact any company that works on these units and ask if they have any suggestions. Top Hydraulics is one such company. I believe they rebuild the hydraulic cylinders and it would make sense that they have a good working knowledge of the system. It may be a long shot but worth...
Does the shifter move or is it stuck in the reverse position. What did the dealer say, they don't know how to fix it or they can't find a new cable. Are they sure it's the cable and not the bushings.
I don't know what picture you're looking at but that sounds about right. You will need to remove the A pillar covers first and then the center console cover plate and the center stack face plate to get at the screws behind that, there are also clips holding the dash pad down. Again, I have an 07...
I have a 07 V so i'm not sure it's the same but mine is attached to the dash pad, When you lift the dash pad up you reach under and rotate that sensor and it drops out. Don't let it drop down into the dash, it's not easy to get it back out.
No screws, but you need to move the shifter to neutral and use the trim tools to lift the top plate on the console just far enough to remove the center stack face plate.
