This one has me stumped...
My driver door interior latch release button only works 1 out of every 5-10 tries. I don't think it is the button itself, since it will lower the window an inch every time.
The outside door latch button works every time (both lowering the window and releasing the door latch). As a long shot, I have taken outside switch apart, cleaned, and reassembled... no change to either the inside nor outside release.
I disconnected both harness connectors from the BCM, sprayed electrical cleaner, let dry, and re-connected. Also no change.
Lastly, I replaced the door latch with an OEM part... no change. Outside button works every time. Inside button will lower the window every time, but only release the latch on rare occasion.
Since the inside button lowers the window, but doesn't trigger the door latch... what could it be? BCM? Ground? Design Flaw?
