Hi, this is the closest thread I found... I just got a replacement headlight washer nozzle cover painted.
Went to put it on thinking it just snaps on, but didn't want to break it...
Looks like I need to remove the splash shield on that side for access and then remove the nozzle, put the cover...
I see this is an older thread, but have melted DRL lenses on my '07.
I have already changed over to LED bulbs, but hate the look of the melted/cracked lenses.
Anyone still fixing these?
Thanks!
My local shop wants $300 just to change top speed and $700 for a tune!
My HP-Tuner including 2 credits is on it's way from ebay for $375 including tax.
Seems like the best value to me. :)
Thank you! It looks like I could get what I need from HP-Tuners for $400 to do it myself, of course paying a pro $300 for a one-time complete tune might actually be a better value, especially if it is a full dyno tune.
Hi everyone! I have read that top speed on the XLR-V is factory limited to 155mph. Can anyone tell me how to change or eliminate this? I recently replaced my tires with a new set of W speed rated tires (186mph), and would like to be prepared for the next legal high speed trial in my area...
Okay, put the pics up first, I tried a cheaper cam, but eventually gave up on it, poor quality and would have required hardwiring for power.
I settled on a ZUS Wireless Smart Backup Camera made by nonda. They retail for about $100, but of course can be found cheaper. Completely wireless, this...
Absolutely! My only real concern will be getting the wires inside. I wish I'd bought a camera before I changed the lights as pulling down the decklid liner is a bit of a pain, but isn't that just life...
I'll probably hook it to the license plate lights for always on or the back up lights for in-reverse only. Both originally had incandescent bulbs but I upgraded them to LED, so plenty of power available now.
I actually have my phone in an Otterbox case and have an extra holster velcroed to the dash as I use it as a music player. I read that if you wire the cam to be on whenever the car is running it will connect almost instantly.
Not for everyone for sure, but super convenient for anyone already...
I see this is an older thread, possibly because wifi cams that connect to your smart phone through an app are now common and cheap. I will very likely be installing one on my XLR-V in the immediate future. They are as cheap as $33 on ebay.
