CC, do you know how much I appreciate you and Bruce. You sure are a lot of help. Believe it or not, I don't regret my purchase at all. I figure in 1 year I have spent about $3200 in repairs. Another $4000 in upgrades but that was my choice. They wanted $3800 for a 1 year 12000 mile warranty. I...
You would be surprised what you can get in the trunk if you drop the divider. I probably had a couple hundred pounds back there. It was packed to the gills. I do have aftermarket wheels witch is the problem, They have a 35 mm offset. The wheel place told me the stock wheels have a 46 but the guy...
I'm finding when I travel and load the trunk at times the tire rubs on the outside. I see this as not acceptable. I was looking at the spring and saw it had adjusters on it. I'm thinking I can raise it just a little to correct the problem. My question is, if I raise it 1/2 inch will that hurt...
The thing that is funny is it took me the right route last trip and on the trip down this time. It cant be the hiway's either the correct route is I24 to pennyrile parkway. All major roads. the other funny thing is it wouldnt recalculate the route. It kept telling me to turn around for 100...
I went to Florida last week. The Nav routed me down OK. when I came back it told it to go home. The stupid thing tried to route me home through louisville. 990 miles instead of through Nashville 770 miles. Once I got home I have tried to route back down and it always picks through Louisville...
Me too. All mine used a quart every 1500. The new one uses none. Thanks Bruce for the reason why. Good to have someone with the Cadillac knowledge you do.
I do agree with the warranty, although you can usually get one out of warranty for enough less to justify it. One thing you mentioned was the oil consumption. That is one thing that has amazed me is I try to change oil at about 6 or 7 thousand and it never has used one drop between changes...
I was one with alot of problems. Still wouldn't trade it for anything. There are 4 top position sensors. The one thing I learned is if one goes out replace them all. They are only $80 dollars each or $45 wholesale. once I got them all replaced it has worked flawlessly. Another problem I had is...
Has anyone ever noticed their XLR hissing from the steering wheel [like a vacuum leak] when turning. If I am stopped and I start out and turn the steering wheel while accelerating, a vacuum leak type sound comes from around the steering wheel. Any Idea what that is?
OK, I guess I can end this here. I stopped by best buy today and talked to the installer, Nice guy. We looked up the wiring diagram. It said "not recommended for this car". We called Directed electronics and talked to tech support. They said they have not been able to get the system to work...
I would do the same execpt we dont have that problem. She would never see salt but it only snowed about 4 inches last year. she only ventures out on sunny days. Kind of like a ground hog.
Gotta love Florida people. I does get cold here. It would be nice to warm the car up before I get off work. I had on on my allante, and I have one on my truck now, I also had one on on the Vette. All of them have worked great. The XLR never sits outside unless I drive it to work. But I dont...
I am seriously concidering installing a Viper smart start remote start. The installer at best buy says no problem, He's done a vette before. I think this would be cool but I dont want to cause problems...
I got the water pump changed this week. That was the problem. The weep hole is on the top on this car and it was leaking. I also changed the belts and hoses while I was in there so she should be good to go for a while. By the way, the ac belt is a B***h to replace.
