Rusty, I don't know if our cars have GM's "Speed Sensitive Steering" or not, so this may not apply. I had the exact symptoms you described on another GM product and it was the SSS sensor that was bad. Simple change and perfect fix...

As much as I like that thought, I think I would go for a twin clutch, 8 speed, sequential manual gearbox. with paddle shift and about 3 different computer controlled upshift and downshift modes. I'm surprised the Corvette hasn't gone to this already...
