Help! 2005 XM Antenna

Does anyone know where I can find an XM antenna for a 2005 XLR?

Requires drilling a hole in your trunk lid.

XM Digital Radio Antenna - Multiple Colors GM Part nos. 10358187, 10348720 - SMC Performance and Auto Parts

Or you could retrofit a left side mirror from a later year that has XM in it. Looks expensive though, and you'd have to buy/make an RF cable and route it trough the door, which is similar to what you'd have to do to mount the trunk lid unit.

Alternatively, you can do this.

Or if you aren't wedded to XM, you can use a Sirius radio like I did, and do the wartless xm install with the antenna.

Amazon.com: Sirius SIRGM1 Connect for GM Radios: Car Electronics

If you're going to do all this, I would suggest you also look into this 3.5mm input installation also, since you'll probably be in the location where the XM radio hardware is. Scroll down to the Aux-2.

Corvette Aux Input

Most people get a Bluetooth adapter for this, because you might get a buzz directly plugging in your MP3 player.

if you are replacing an existing antenna, then the holes are already there, might as well replace with the same type of antenna.
if you are looking at a new install, i would seriously consider NOT drilling holes , and install a wartless antenna.
those warts ruin the lines of the car.
