Has anyone found a brake pad for the V that cuts down on the dust and is still reasonably good stopping power? And if so, where to purchase?

Much obliged.

I use the Hawk pads on my non-V and I am very happy with them.

little off subject but still braking

What are the thoughts of the group concerning replacing brake fluid when replacing pads? I have 67 k on the escalade and it needs pads. dealer says to replace the brake fluid. Never have done that on any car I have owned. Is this some thing new. does it really have to be done?

thanks JIM

I had my new rotors, painted calipers and new brakes put on at the same time. They replaced my brake fluid when they did it. It wasn't an expensive addition, so I never thought much about it.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture out of the air which lowers its boiling point and causes corrosion in the brake system. It is much cheaper to replace the fluid than brake parts.:)

I an using Hawk pads and so far I am very satisfied with them.
