Help! DIC Options unavailable ?

What do I need to do to change the options?

Not sure what you mean. There are only two switches for the DIC. Have you read the owner's manual and still have questions regarding how to operate the DIC? What are you wanting to do?

want to change setting but DIC Optons are unavailable yes I have read the OM and all it says is to press the DIC Options button and the options will be displayed to change but they are unavailable?

I was wrong; three switches. Do you get any response when you press the "I" switch? You could have a bad switch. Does RESET do anything?

Push reset and nothing changes still get DIC Options are unavaiable ?

I found this on a Corvette forum, so I don't know it if it will help you or not.

"You've got the wrong fob. Options are only available when the car is turned on using fob 1 or 2.
Any fob programmed as 3 or 4 will not allow access to the options menu."

So maybe try a different key fob. I hope it helps.

You may have to reprogram your fobs to get availability to the DIC Options. I have had to perform this procedure on two different occasions.

This procedure will erase all of your existing transmitters the computers and then reprogram the transmitters.

After step 5 put all of the transmitters far enough away from your XLR so that the car can’t recognize them.
After step 14 put the transmitter that you want to be recognized as Fob # 1 in the glovebox pocket.

I have used this procedure in the past with good success, it just takes about 30 mins to erase the computer
memory and then just a few more mins to program the fobs.

1. The vehicle must be off.

2. Place the new, unrecognized transmitter in the
glove box transmitter pocket with the buttons
facing to the right.

3. Go to the rear of the vehicle and insert the vehicle
key into the key cylinder located on the lower rear
fascia on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
(See Trunk on page 2-13 for more information on the key cylinder.)

4. Open the trunk.

5. Turn the key five times within five seconds.

6. The DIC message will display OFF-ACC TO LEARN.

7. Press the ACC button.

8. The DIC will read WAIT 10 MINUTES and will
count down to zero, one minute at a time.

9. The DIC will display OFF-ACC TO LEARN again.

10. Press the ACC button.

11. The DIC will read WAIT 10 MINUTES and will
count down to zero, one minute at a time.

12. The DIC will display OFF-ACC TO LEARN again.

13. Press the ACC button.

14. The DIC will read WAIT 10 MINUTES and will
count down to zero, one minute at a time.

15. A beep will sound and the DIC will read READY
FOR FOB #1. (At this time, all previously known
transmitters have been erased.)

16. Once the transmitter is recognized and
programmed, a beep will sound and the DIC will
display READY FOR FOB #2.

If you have additional transmitters to program, take
transmitter 1 out of the transmitter pocket and place
transmitter 2 in the pocket. This can be done repeatedly
until up to four transmitters have been programmed.

The DIC will then display MAX # FOBS LEARNED and
will exit the programming mode.
