Fiat to acquire 35% stake in Chrysler

FYI - Fiat announced today it will acquire a 35% stake in Chrysler. They aren't going to contribute cash - they are going to retool a Chrysler plant to make Fiats in the US. It will also contribute engine and transmission technology to make more fuel-efficient cars for the US market.

Fiat will eventually own a majority stake in Chrysler.
