So I had the oil front cover etc replaced and a new water pump. This should have cleaned up all leaks. Now I have an intermittent leak one day no leak next day a leak of some red or better yet pinkish oil from about center of the engine sometimes more on the right. Front to back it is about centerline of the two front wheels on the ground. I have had it in to Cadillac for three days and they said they couldnt find the leak (they were waiting for it to leak) and they said they pressure tested it and it was fine. Go figure. So I am thinking about taking it into Chevrolet Corvette department here. Does anyone know what that fluid is for or where it most likely could be comeing from. I think I could find it but I have no way to get the car up where I can crawl under it. Any help would be appreciated to give me a likely candidate of the issue.

Thanks
J

Red or pinkish oil... sounds like it could either be transmission oil or power steering fluid?? Radiator coolant would be more of an orange color. There are transmission lines running to the radiator and back - to cool the transmission oil. The power steering pump, I believe, is on the right side. Power steering fluid could either be clear or pinkish... maybe one of these lines has a leak? Just trying to give you some ideas on where to start?? If the power steering lines have a pinhole, it would probably only squirt oil when the steering wheel is turned...
