2007 Black XLR-V
Hello all, I'm new to the forum and I just purchased a 2007 XLR-V. I'm still learning the car but so for I love it. The bad new is I need to replace the heater core, any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dennis

Thanks guys but I had hoped for more encouraging news. I know it won't be easy but I would like to do the job myself. I am trying to find a shop manual that has a step by step "how to" for removing the heater core. I think that could mean removing most of the dash to get at it but it is what it is. How hard could it be, after all, 50 years ago I changed one on my 1968 Rambler American.
Life's an adventure
Thanks,
Dennis

well I sent you a private message stating i had a manual and information for me to send you a copy of the instructions but you did not answer. Going to be pretty involved. I think shop time is 6 hours. manual says a/c will have to be evacuated but sometimes you may be able to just move thing around as that is to replace the a/c module which the heater core is part of. This is nor a common problem and since the corvette is similar and they also dont seem to have a problem I would question why you think it is bad.
