Hey gang, looking for some insight on my passenger side headlight. It flickers but won't stay lit. The drivers side works fine. When I turn on the high beam, the passenger side beam shuts off completely but the drivers side works fine. However, when I try to switch back to low beam, it stays on high until you turn the car off. I've attemped to put in a new headlight, but it did the same thing... flickerd on the passenger side, but worked fine when plugged into the drivers side. I also tried a new low beam relay, but that didn't solve the problem either. Suggestions??? It would be great to have two fully functional headlights :)

Did you replace the ballast on the starboard side?

Seperate animal. The light assembly is just a housing for the bulbs.

It would explain why your problem didn't migrate to the other side or resolve itself when the assembly was replaced. You might consider investing in a set of shop manuals --they're cheaper than a used headlamp assembly and almost as much fun to look at.

Thanks! CC! I will try to find some additional info on replacing the ballast! That would probably be the next cheapest thing to try.
