How to open trunk without key and dead BCM?

I bought a water damaged 2006 XLR-V from copart and as usual the key was stolen buy someone at Copart. So how can I open the trunk without any key and a dead body control module?

Assuming you have a good battery and you have tried all the buttons including the one under the lip of the trunk lid and nothing worked, here is a hail marry. If your top is up and you can get into the car, remove the storage compartment between the two seat backs, I think there are four screws. Maybe you can fashion a pole rope devise to reach into the trunk and grab the emergency trunk release. Hopefully the trunk divider is down or you can push it down. Also I'm not positive you can access the trunk from that storage compartment but if all else fails it's worth a try. Good luck

This is the way. Ive done this not with the XLR but with another car.

Getting a key made is best but as stated, you can take the center console between the seats out and reach back into the trunk and if you make a firm bend in a rod you can hook onto the green emergency release latch handle. It glows in the dark if you shine a light back there

You can take title to dealer and get a key cut it was $35 at my local dealer to have it done. My 06 came with a one fob and no key. You will also need to get a bulgari fob with label 1 on the back to program to get the car to start. They come up for sale online occasionally just have to be patient. I found a driver 2 fob for mine for mine for $110 dollars on ebay. The car needs to have a driver 1 fob programed to it before will let driver 2-4 fobs programed.
