Like to meet the designer that had a hand in the license plate/backup lights location and the way you have to replace them.
License plate lights fairly easy once you take out the retainer pins and trunk lid switch. You can get a hand on the socket(s) and turn them ok. Backup lights you have to take out the complete assembly to get to them.

I think there's a bunch of designers of various aspects of our cars that aren't user-friendly to fix that we'd all like to meet!
