2007 Passion Red
I'm getting new tires today, looking at P Zero Nero All Season, any thoughts? P235/50R18 for my 2007 XLR. They're a great price 980.00 out the door, mounted, road hazard etc. Thanks

I had those tires on a 2011 mustang gt. They got NO traction for me. I realize I am talking about a mustang (notoriously) bad starting traction. Under 20,000 miles they were very loud on the highway. I didn't buy them again. I just wanted to go burn them off and get different, but couldn't make myself do that, so I got rid of them with a little wear left. :dunno:

Just one mans experience/opinion.

Pirellis

Thanks- so I think I will go with the Michelin- I've never had bad luck with them- any opinion on those- ?Pilot Sport A/S 3 ?

Do you drive your XLR all year to require an all season design? If not, a summer tire may be a better fit.

Bypass on all season tire

I have P-zero max performance summer tires on my XLR and they performed flawlessly. The tires are sticky, grippy, and quiet. The sticky and grip is due to the tire compound as for the quietness well, the stock OEM tires aren't much quieter than the ones I have right now. As for the all season tires I believe is made up of a different tire compound. Unless you're driving your car all year around and in severe weather I would just opt for the summer tires (if they come in OEM size).

I put 4 of those on last month. Good grip in the twesties, not loud on the hyway..
