Rear View Mirror Lamps

I got my XLR back after the resonator was replaced and it seems to be OK.
But now the 2 lamps on the rear view mirror inside wont go off! I took it back
to my mechanic and he could not quickly see the problem so he disconnected the
lamps at the rear view mirror. Anyone have a fix for this? Thaks.

Check your dash lighting control and make sure you don't have it all the way up, because that'll cause the lights to stay on.

Hi Sharon,

There is a push button below each lamp on the bottom of the rear view mirror. Reconnect the harness to the mirror, and press each button once. Close the door, and use the remote to lock the doors. The lights should time out in accordance with the delay that is set. Or even easier, get in the car, close the door and start it. If the map lights are still on, press each button once until the light turns off. Important: if the footwell lights are on as well, then the dimmer control might be the remedy.

Thanks - It was the dimmer switch set too high. I think my mechanic hit it accidentally when he was in the car because it had never done that before. It's good to know the other fixes you mentioned as well. Happy Holidays to you.
