I don't think a Class Action Suit is very likely and GM knows it. The production numbers are just not high enough to be of interest to those firms that take such cases. Also there has to be damages. Unless I go and get a custom made, one off piece made that costs a bazillion dollars to make my only damages are the less than $100 I paid for the faulty piece they delivered. Not a real incentive for an attorney to take the case.
It is kind of the difference between theoretical law and real world stuff.
It all is disappointing and frustrating. My only real recourse is to solve the issue at hand and then publish the story on as many internet sites as I can in an attempt to have Cadillac/GM lose a little potential customer faith. A sole story will not make a difference, but if others having the same problem do it then maybe someone at GM will notice. Maybe I'm the only one this has ever happened to and it is an isolated problem.
