I found myself with some free time this weekend and thought what could I do to the Cad today?

I think it actually looks surprizingly good and if you used a degreaser/paint prep cleaner it should last fairly long too! I also think that you must be a patient man, that must have took some time!

Now that you have it 'blinged up' you could bolt in a rear sway bar for contrast!
