tire pressure with reg tires ....not run flat

PSI

In response to the original question, I run my tires at 32F, 34R. Your opinion may vary.
And as much as I hate wading into Nitrogen discussion, Nitrogen is more stable at temp, and drier than compressed air. That's the reason it is used in aircraft and most race car tires. That said, I run air in my tires.

Can't ever remembering an article so well written, especially the graphics. NASCAR breaks down different parts of a car every once in a while to show how it works, sure wish they would call it Nitrogen instead of air. With Nitrogen the biggest contributor to making up air, I will call the air Nitrogen from now on and watch the looks on peoples faces, after all, I call a motor an engine and my car a machine.:blinzel:

Here's an interesting article : Nitrogen in Tires : Information about Nitrogen Tire Inflation News, Benefits, Generator Dealers, Location Finder & More

It says that the nitrogen is delivered to tracks by Praxair.

I suspect the reason you hear them talk about taking out or putting in air is the same reason they say they had motor trouble.

The correct term would actually be engine, but old habits die hard!

Thank you CP, I'm glad you found that article.

I read so many of these articles back in 2008, it was just plan confusing. That is when I decided to perform my own tests and have decided that from now on, dry nitrogen goes into all my vehicle tires.

I did, in Kelly Green in Photoshop, boy was it ugly. I tried changing the font to Kelly green & bolded it but I can't seem to change the color of text..............any ideas?????:dunno:

But it wasn't painted by GM was it, just photo shopped?
